We are saddened by the passing of our classmate, Patty Hunter Dark, on May 21, 2010, from breast cancer.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

Looks like we may have a 35th reunion...........I can't believe I just said 35th.

Information to follow as gathered.

Musings From Mega Reunion Week

The days of September 18, 19 & 20th, 2008, were filled with back-to-back Mega Reunion activities, including our class of '76 birthday party.  These are some random ramblings/opinions/gossip from those days.

  • While walking the old RHS halls with Gina Cappaletti, Melinda Parrish and Scott McDaniel (came all the way from CA), we noted that a certain girl's restroom by the office was the smoker's restroom.  A current RHS teacher standing nearby listening to us remarked, "It still is!"
  • Ex teachers making an appeance included Mrs. Overton (English), Mrs. Earney (typing), Mr. & Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Hamilton (shorthand), Mr. Tipps, Mrs. Shilcutt, Mrs. Kimball (Spanish), Coach Hamm, Miss Pelton (Dixie Belles/PE) & looking exactly the same except for the white locks, Mr. Jerry Sessions himself.  Jon Bradford, where are you?
  • Good luck getting Jeff Bell ('75) to tell you his name if you don't recognize THE Jeff Bell.  Tool.
  • Mr. Tipps DID remember the 1975 oceanography field trip to Freeport when he caught a few students with beer we bought off a guy in the motel parking lot.  He remembers the boys hurriedly pitching it out a bathroom window.  And he remembered "droodles" he taught us, and men attempting to trailer a boat as they watched Tara Toler in a bikini.  Boy have things changed!
  • Tim Riddle ('74) looks THE same and has raised his son alone for 18 years.  Lives in Aledo.
  • Scott McDaniel never had kids which makes him richer, smarter & more patient.
  • Jan Jacobson ('75) danced in the pep rally stands (Donna Holder ('75) sitting next to her).  She still knows every word to the school song, the fight song, and can flawlessly do the fight song Dixie Belle pom routine.
